What does it cost to be genuinely kind?

Isn’t it free to live a life that inspires a lot?

In all honesty, it may play a trick on the mind,

Because sometimes it becomes a weakness that becomes our soft spot.

Kindness is a choice we may choose to make,

An option we may choose to also ignore,

For safety, security or sometimes just to avoid an honest mistake,

Because not everybody has the goal that you are aiming for.

Trust, faith, love and friendship,

These are only some of the reasons for someone’s kindness,

But deception, greed, or any struggles and hardship,

Are reasons why our kindness may turn into regretfulness.

No matter our position in the world, our beloved,

I hope we learn to live fairly and genuinely,

We can’t force kindness when others may take it for granted,

So I hope we make a just choice as we live our lives daily.
